It's a great article but so happy to see Chandivali reference. Finally someone has not called it Powai. Personally I use Powai when I need something or want show off and Chandivali when I want pay for something

Wow. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this. I have also taken early retirement and could resonate with so much of what you said. I am also convinced that I am never going back to work. Thank you for writing this.

Enjoyed reading it. I am sure your book would give us 25x reasons to go forward for an anti-hustle life, a life where we pick the struggles rather than what's told over Zoom calls :O Looking forward to reading your book.

Great! I'd love to read your book. I did the same, and one colleague said to me, this is not right, one can retire and go to live in the mountains after 60, why are you doing it in your 40s! My answer was, because these are my beat years and I'd rather do my favorite things in my beat years :)

Whatayy funny, brave and inspiring read. Enjoyed your writing- so clever. And yes we start normalising career breaks and quitting when life is happening.

very well written... and your humour is both understated and also in-your-face at the same time.

Maza aa gaya padh kar! Already counting down to 20 years of job and then hanging the boots! Such a refreshing read!

47 likes is an injustice to this article. I have seen very few authors able to write with such candidness and humour. You have earned yourself a subscriber and can’t wait to read your next rant! All the best with your FIRE!

As someone who underwent the same process before finally retiring at 47, I can really relate to the essay..😊

is there really no way to complete your life bucket list when you are in your late 20s and also be rich enough to fund the items on the list other than being succesful in the said 20s

God! Every word hit home and every sentence was ROFL . Enjoy your life. It takes lot of courage to quit but remember next few months, people will stare at you open mouthed when you introduce yourself with just your name and then silence....cause people are son used to hearing introductions which are name+company+designation

Whenever someone introduces themselves with Name, Company Designation, I always ask, “Sure, you are Director at Capgemini, but do you know any poem by heart?”
